Brake squeal revisited. 200 1993

I've changed the pads and the rotors (they needed it anyway) and put in new guide pins and shims. I'm still getting horrendous squealing from the brakes. It's definitely a lot worse after I've driven a while and the wheels have warmed up. I can also hear a squeal when turning one direction, I can't remember which one right now. I'm thinking the bearings are suspect. I have no play at the bearings that I can feel, but I checked the load anyway. With the car jacked up and me spinning the wheels by hand, I tightened the nut to 44 ft-lbs and then backed off 1/2 a turn per the bentley manual but still have the squeal. I've also noticed when I lift off the pedal and start to drive, I get one last little squeak as if the caliper is still grabbing a bit and then lets go. Is this a sign of a collapsed brake hose?
