FYI, the link you posted to the Volvo Community website, requires to become a member before viewing the forums...of which I did with no hitch.

Incredible...absolutely incredible what Ivan had done with the restoration!!!

My 122s, THANK GOODNESS, is nowhere as rusty as Ivan's project was. The rust on the frame as shown in my pictures seemed to be the only potential structural concern...of which, thanks to the responses of other users's advice and links, helped me feel more confident to tackle.
