944T Drinkin' some oil 900

I took my 93 944 turbo w/227K into the mechanic in my new home town (Texarkana) to have the oil changed the other day and i got a bit alarmed when he told me it used 2 quarts of oil since my last oil change, ~3700 miles ago. Car has a few slight leaks underneath, but nothing major and I've stayed on top of maintenance since I purchased it at 155K. Running well, no noticeable smoke. Turbo starting to go south? Valve seals? Any recommendations on my best course of action?
