Windshield wipers 140-160

The other day I decided it was time to address the growing syndrome of a slipping worn out clutch. No problem but Ironic as it seems the day before I planned such an adventure my windshield wipers stopped working. Getting back to the moment the clutch job is going fine found I had a pilot bearing on its last leg and I was using a pressure plate manufactured from 1993. so I was due for such. When I get everything back together I am going to have to crawl under the dash and figure out whats up with the wipers. The motor still works I can hear it, but there is no motion from the arms.

Has anyone on the forum experienced such, and maybe you can save me some time from pulling half my dash out to get to the problem? Both my shop manuals just give info on a total assembly removal

Oh yea we are working on a 1971 142e
