Caliper on wrong side? 200

Did you mistakingly swap the new calipers on the front? The third nipple on non-ABS calipers should be at the very top of the inside of the caliper; not on the bottom.

This will cause the problem you're describing. I had a set mislabled at the parts store and installed them that way. Took my days, gallons of brake fluid and the loss of my hair until I figured it out.

I've also heard about mismatched halves of rebuilt calipers being a problem. Check posts from this spring.

BTW: On non ABS 240 cars; When you tap the brake pedal, your face should smack the windshield. The pedal should be much firmer and grab sooner than on ABS cars.
