not solved! 200 1988

I now get 0.03v from the battery- to the alternator body. Charging returned to normal, with the battery getting above 14v at idle, but unfortunately it has now reverted to not charging despite good readings on both voltage drop tests. I'm going to remove, inspect and clean up the alternator next, plus see if I can find somewhere that will bench test it. I have the car's full service history with receipts, and I don't see that the alternator has ever been worked on or replaced.

So it's back to the drawing board.

David
