Couple funny running symptoms 200 1986

I put a battery in the 240 tonight, it did it's usual routing after sitting for a week or three of taking three trys to catch and stay running. It's other oddity, is when it is idling, blipping the throttle it will choke off, and as of tonight in the cold, will spit back through the intake. All of this goes away when warm, and it's left with just a slight rough idle. It's also rather low, the idle, when cold. I don't remember how high the idle is when cold.

I had this motor out and replaced all the seals and gaskets, cleaned the AMM and ICV, set the TPS, used the LED to adjust the AMM, replaced the intake piping, the flame trap, the temp sender for the ECU, the balancer, the timing belt, etc, etc. Pretty much everything is new but the fuel pumps, injectors, FPR, and AMM. The engine harness is newish and good, the fuel pumps aren't noisy, I can hear the in tank pump running. The vacuum line to the ignition box is good, cap rotor and wires and plugs new. I pretty well covered all the usual basses.

I'm kinda stumped. DME's usually just flat fail, how about the ignition boxes? I know I set the timing to spec, and I'm sure I verified TDC on the balancer even though it was new, but it's been awhile ago.
