960 trans slow to shift in cold weather - switch to Syn ATF? 900 1997

I'm really not sure if this is an issue for switching to ATF but I have noticed a difference when the weather is colder; the car is slow to upshift - and even slow to downshift when coming off of speed. I believe this is the AW30, correct?

Interestingly, I did not have this issue in my 1993 with the AW70
