Replacement tranny for 1990 740 turbo automatic - can use one from a non-turbo? 700

1990 740 Wagon, turbo intercooled, 4 speed auto.

I think the turbo tranny does not have torque lockup, and the non turbo does. Can the non turbo tranny be put into a turbo car? The car might have a dead tranny, killed by a radiator leak and coolant in the tranny fluid, per my other thread. If I choose to swap out the tranny, it would be good to know which can be used. A non turbo tranny probably has seen less abuse than one from a turbo car.
