I would go at it from the top ganz sicher.

Using a magentetic pickup tool to catch the bolt as you unscrew it helps a lot. You might also invest in some extra long 1/4" extensions from Sears. Also grab a set of universal jointed sockets.

Placing a wad of wet paper into the socket will hold the bolt as you install it.

Rotating the sensor gently should help in the removal.
