keyless entry does't work S90-V90

I have a a V-90 and the key-less entry with the remote is not working
the locks and alarm work by manually using the key with the lock in the door
i have reprogrammed the remote fob and i hear a very faint click sound is there
maybe a relay that's not working that i can easily look for that may be the problem or is it a module board and if so does it interchange with more popular
Volvo's i only have one remote fob as of now .
