How to store used brakes components

Come to think of it, the only car that could ever get my old "stored" master is one in which I'd be the only driver. I've already passed up one opportunity to use it, in favor of a new one, for that reason. I assume I'd be aware enough to know if it had a problem. Bob's sensibility is right on.
