Bad head gasket can cause coolant in transmission? a SWAG 700

SWAG

There was a leak in the ATF cooler in the radiator that you took out, and the trans damage was done then.

If, as Art B, says, antifreeze (ethylene glycol) can dissolve the adhesive holding the friction parts in the trans to their metal backing, you may be seeing more and more of that adhesive coming out through the exiting ATF.

My recommendation is to find and install another trans. There is a lot of interchangeability between years and models, you should have little problem in finding a god one.

Good Luck,

Bob
