940 Power Steering Woes

OK, I ignored the cardinal rule of 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'. Per loads of advice here and strictly according the FAQ I changed the power steering on my '92 945 turbo wagon. Used the turkey baster technique and refilled with Mobil 1 synthetic ATF. The steering was fine when I drove it down the block and back. The next day the steering was stiff and slow. About 50 miles later
no change.

Did I get air in the system? No leaks and the steering was fine before I 'fixed' it.

Should I just learn to live with it and consider it a way to rebuild my atrophying shoulder/arm muscles?

Like many of you, I love my old volvo and when it is sick so am I.
