poor cold idle with misfire. 200 1989

Yeah, I gave up trying to figure out what the next step up in heat range would be. I know better than to stick platinums in these cars.

It's got copper bosch plugs, bougicord wires, bosch cap and rotor. Plugs are 6 months old, rest is 18 months old. Mechanic said the spark was testing good, so I don't suspect the coil. Both he and I checked the plug and coil wires in the dark with a water mister. No funny business there.

Car is definitely running better after giving the AMM contacts a thorough cleaning. Cold idle isn't perfect, but is FAR improved from last week. Peppier on the hwy, too. Plan to fill up tank tomorrow and see what mileage is like, but I expect that has improved. No rich smell out the tailpipe anymore, either.

God I hope this fix was a simple as dirty AMM connections.
