740 cold no start rsr problem

have been fighting this no start problem for a while (see my previous thread). i installed a new radio suppression relay at the beginning of my trouble shooting because i was getting a 321 code. no joy! lucid suggested that i bypass the relay but i thought since it was new that could not be the problem. i also refreshed the ground connection as suggested. no joy! i just bypassed the relay (thanks lucid) and my old girl fired right up. what is going on? i'm officially confused.
