Electrical issues with 240 wagon 200 1980

My fuel, temp gauges and blinkers are not working, I did as suggested, checked fuses first. I have checked my fuses, all were fine other than No. 5, replaced, still no go. My next attempt will be the voltage regulator on the gauge cluster per Art.
Odd thing about my blinkers, they have been staying solid, all of sudden tonight, with the brights on, they started working. I thought maybe a short in the stalk, used low beams, solid, again low beams, they worked, very strange.

How hard would it be to swap to say Auto Meter gauges, other than fittings?
I plan to do a complete build, might as well swap the gauges now.
