Correct driveshaft alignment information!! 200

Hello,

I have misspoken(written) on the driveshaft alignment issue and I need to clarify!

I was correct when I said that Volvo did NOT mark their driveshafts from the factory.

And that you can visually assemble the driveshaft correctly 2 ways.

So you have a 50/50 chance of getting it right if the 2 piece driveshaft is separated without being marked!

But I was WRONG about how to correctly assemble the driveshaft!!

I hope the following will straighten things out!!

The proper way to align the driveshaft halves visually is to imagine that the splined male half of the rear driveshaft is part of the front half with the u-joint flanges parallel.

The does make the 2 welded flanges of the rear driveshaft half to be perpendicular to the 1 welded flange on the front side of the front driveshaft half.

I AM EXTREMELY SORRY FOR ANY CONFUSION I MAY HAVE CAUSED!!
