B230F engine casting numbers question 200 1986

I know someonw who is looking to part with an engine (short block) but is unsure of the year 240 it came from. He said the numbers casted into the side of the block read: 83 04 15. If someone knows how to decipher the numbers, would this engine fit into my '86 240 non-turbo sedan.
