Mystery Coolant Leak!! 900

Dear Carpenter,

Hope you're well. If the transmission fluid is "milky" or "cloudy" - i.e., if it is other than a clear, deep, rosy red - I'd suggest you at once replace the radiator and flush the transmission, using the procedure set forth in this site's FAQs. Water in the coolant dissolves the glue, the adheres clutch facings. Water also converts to steam, at normal transmission operating temperatures. Water in the trans fluid is pretty much the only non-collision way to destroy an Aisin-Warner tranny.

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,

Spook
