240 acceleration fails at higher RPM's manual transmission 200

On my 1989 240, I consistently have been losing power in each gear as I accelerate. The other day when starting cold I got a real uneven idle and some back-fire which disappeared once it warmed up. That problem has disappeared for now but the acceleration problem remains. I thought for sure it would be the mass air flow meter or a fuel filter but the error codes I got where:

In position 2
2-2-3
2-2-1
1-1-3

In position 6
2-3-4

Has anyone had this happen with similar error codes? Also, is there any reason to the sequence of which code is reported first? In other words, should I focus on the first code then see if the others disappear or start with the last code...?

Thanks
John
