recap 740 regina radio suppression relay

during discussion of no start problems with my 1990 mod. 740, with much appreciated help from the board (special thanks to lucid), i traced the problem to the RSR. replacement with a known good RSR did not solve the problem. i have tested the involved circuitry and found no problems. what did work was a simple bypass of the RSR specified in the FAQS as suggested by lucid. the old girl fired right up and has been her old self ever since. where the FAQS seem to be in error is in stating that bypassing should be used for testing only because it wiil drain the battery. i've experienced no problems whatsoever, no battery issue, no radio interference. lucid said there would be no problem and he's right. one less relay seems like a good idea to me.

thanks to all who responded, and merry christmas to all.

chris
