Weird alternator/electrical issues right before a 1000 mile trip 200 1993

Of course, we're getting ready to drive for the holidays, and the old Classic starts to act up.

A week ago, loud belt noise, blaring during the first few minutes of operation, began to ring out. By the time I finally got a chance to check it out yesterday, it was clear that the rubber bushings on the alternator pivot bolt need replacing, as the alternator jiggles. No rush, is my thinking, as its still spinning. I know this will wear out the alt, but how fast?

Then, this morning, my wife said that on the way to drop to kids to school, all dash lights were on the whole way there.

Of course, we're deluged with rain here in Southern California. Any ideas before I embark on a journey tomorrow?

Thanks in advance.
