Weird alternator/electrical issues right before a 1000 mile trip 200 1993

You'll probably find the alternator has thrown it belts.

As a stop gap measure you might consider swapping the front bushing for the rear one and then building up the void on the really bad one with some temporary fill in of some sort?

They usually wear more on one side more than the other- turning them 90 degrees might help.

Good luck,

Randy
