Where does this big, sleeved (battery?) cable go? Photo anyone?? 700

I'm almost ready to fire up the new engine, and I've got this last cable to connect, plus a few minor things like coolant and oil.

There is a large bundle of wires in tubing that I think was attached to the negative battery terminal, but there are no wear marks for it, and I don't recall there being any wires on the negative terminal, other than the single fat cable to the starter.

It has a weird [ shaped connector. Yes, [ like a bracket.

With the battery out, the bundle of wires has 0 resistance to ground and some resistance to the positive battery terminal.

I wish I could post a picture! I can't find one anywhere.

Does anyone have a photo of their battery connections? 1990 740 turbo.

Thanks in advance

The end looks a lot like this:
