This is a "thank you" post.

I stumbled across a couple of posts concerning this project early this year and considered applying it to my '83 coupe. I've had 2.0 cars that run perfectly, but also some that defy logic. This coupe exhibited poor idle characteristics and an inconsistent difficulty in starting. Upgrading the ECU to the 2.1 unit helped a little, but not significantly. There are a couple of posts on BB, but I also found several on Turbobricks about this swap. In the end, the post that helped most included a 'repin' of the AMM plug so that the 007, LH2.2 AMM could be used. I found that the 503 ECU with the LH2.0 AMM was not acceptable.

My thanks to Caliban, Goatman and Art Benstein for input on this. Also to the TB poster who's links I cannot now find, but who provided the following info on the AMM pinning:

LH2.0 harness to a proper pinout for the 2.2 type amm. Left to right, starting with pin 6, which is now yellow; pin 5 is orange; pin 4 is white; pin 3 is white/red; pin 2 is green/yellow; pin 1 is now black.

Along with a 544 ECU, this was a quick and easy swap. Starting is easier and idle is much better.

And yes, I put a big sticker in the engine bay saying "LH2.2".
