Universal joints - replacement tips, and reproduction parts. 200 1985

My drivetrain is making grumbling back-end noises that match the FAQ description of bad u-joints to a tee. I'm going to attempt it myself, and wondered if anyone had bad experiences with Neapo or Precision joints. The former are half the price.

Also, I'm going to attempt this with just the back end up on ramps. It looks straightforward enough to me, though I've proved myself wrong before, so is there anything I should watch out for? Also, I don't have access to a vise, so any suggestions for removing the old joints would be appreciated. Thanks!
