Tranny Cooler Line Rusted and Leaking 900 1993

Hi, me my 940 wagon again. Straightforward job here, remove rusted tranny cooler line and replace with new. Can't patch, it's leaking at the fitting end on the tranny. Everything is loose, except the pipe at the fitting on the tranny, it's rusted solid, tried all the usual tricks, penetrating oil, tapping, some heat, etc. No go....yet.

New idea is to simply cut pipe at fitting and remove fitting with pipe remnant, but I can't tell if this is a simple deal or not. Does fitting simply unthread and go back on with maybe a copper washer or is it more complicated than that. What has worked for you guys, don't want to turn this into a 200+ buck job today as car still needs a few other items to become daughters ride. As always, thanks in advance.

Mike
