new thread, high idle after throttle body cleaning

This is a new thread stemming from problems attended to here:
http://www.brickboard.com/RWD/volvo/1461771/220/240/260/280/high_idle_upon_start_falls_hunts_amm.html

I just cleaned the throttle body which looked like it had never been cleaned before. It was gummed up with a ton of stuff. Now I have a very high idle and
I noticed before cleaning that I wasn't hearing the click of the throttle switch as described in the IPD throttle body cleaning tutorial. My 84 and 87 have an idle adjustment but that was done away with in 88 I think. Where do I go from here?

thanks, Kirk S.
