780 mitsubishi turbo questions 1989

i've been reading over the FAQs for a few days trying to familiarize myself with the turbo as i've never owned a turbo car. however there are some details that are overlooked or unspecified in the FAQs, mainly relating to different vacuum lines. my first question is: is the pipe that goes from the turbo to the block difficult to see when everything is put together? in the FAQs someone says that the O-ring for this pipe fails and that the poster was losing a quart every 400 miles, which is what i'm experiencing right now. however i was unsuccessful finding this.

i also hear a hissing on acceleration, mainly when the turbo kicks in. what are the hoses on the T-fitting right in front of the turbo, are they volvo-spec or can i get standard vacuum hoses? these are pretty worn.

in the FAQs someone said that they replaced a hose under the intake manifold that helped with vacuum issues. it never says which hose-there are several. any that might be related to my turbo hissing sound?

also, what is the small hose called that goes from the turbo to a metal pipe to the intercooler? this hose is pretty warped and i want to change it before it gets worse. i found one online that is called intercooler outlet hose, but i feel like that refers to the hose on the other side of the intercooler that eventually leads up to the throttle body. any help would be appreciated.
