Trip Odometer Reset Button Broken 200 1993

Two cents, I wouldn't bother fixing it. Pushing that button too much, regularily, can damage the delicate gear that turns the main odometer in these brittle works, leaving you without either the trip or the main odometer,

which will now need to be fixed with a pick and pull gear, or a new one costing bucks.

Any comments on this? Fix? Just keep a gum wrapper or note pad in the glove box, with a pencil.
