Speedo cable 120-130

I need a little help out there in brickland. I just replaced my instrument cluster with one in better shape that I got last year off Ebay. Everything's good except the speedo cable I have won't fit onto it. Takes a bigger end. My old one (63) had the trip meter that you pull downwards to set. This new one has the kind that you turn a knob. My question is what year 122 do I want a cable for that has the bigger threaded connection? My car does not have an OD. I would imagine that the cable changed when the trip meter changed. At least I hope that's the case.
Anyone out there with a turn knob trip care to reach under and feel if their cable knurl is about 3/4 inch, and tell me what year their car is?
