Scrap Platinum or Palidium in old converter? 200

I still have the old catalytic converter from my 81 B21F in my garage. What's in it? The price of platinum is higher than gold now. If I cut it open to scrap it, what will I find? Is the metal inside platinum, paliadium or just some junk alloy and worthless ceramic waffle. It is a good converter and I saved it as a spare, but maybe scrapping it would be better. Does anyone out there know what's inside.
Ben
