'91 245 Died and No Start Until Few Minutes Later 200

My ‘91 245, 250,000 on it. Started fine this morning. Ran about 2 minutes idling to warm up since it’s a little cold out, around 36° F, and it just died. Tried to recrank and starter would not operate. Power to lights/dash. With key in start position radio would go off but dash lights did not dim. Tried several times but still no start. Then about 5 min. later started and ran just fine. What could have caused this?
