#1 Exhaust Manifold Smoke.

The oil Pressure sensor is behind that Runner. You might have popped that and it's spraying on the Runner. If the Valve cover leaks in the front where it rotates up for teh Cam, that oils will run down onto #1.
If you have a few thousand miles on the Head Job, I would not suspect you made a mistake there. Very cold temps might lead to Shrinkage and leakage.
Did the engine get noisey or are you just fearing the worst with the Smell and smoke?
