alternator compatibility 200 1988

I run a 100 amp alt out of a 740 that I found at down at Auto Zone. Lifetime warranty, on my 2nd one (brushes wore out, they give you a rebuilt instead of brushes). Plenty of amps for driving ECodes and driving lights and bolts right in where the whippy little one used to sit.

It was at the time be best price for a rebuild and the store by my house had one in stock. They also had the 65 amp version for the same price, I figured bigger is better and went that way.

Glad I have that in there now, I do run an external Voltage Regulator on it to avoid the drop of voltage from the regulator heating up.

Regards,

Paul
