Fuel issue, maybe 200 1989

I think there is a greater chance that it is simply the fuel injection relay that is the root of the problem. It can be intermittent and things you do (wiggle wires, etc.) only to find that it starts may be simply coincidental. Swearing and slamming the door might have the same effect as wiggling the wires at the fuelpump.

How old is the fuel injection relay? If you solder simply remove the cover and reflow all the solder joints on the circuit board. The relay is located above the passenger's feet on the inside of the firewall- white cover on a relay about 3/4 x 1 1/4 x 1 1/4.

Have you cleaned the 25 amp fuse on the driver's inside fender?
