Tapioca Pudding in Flame Trap 200 1984

The "tapioca pudding" may simply be condensation that occurs during winter driving. Do you have any at the dipstick or the oil cap? Both my 240 and 850 have had the whitish substance on the dipstick in winter.

Sounds like it could be a bad or clogged vacuum line. Check all your vacuum lines. I agree with the previous poster, specifically check the vacuum line going to the manifold. I had that vacuum line clog on my 90 and it took me a long time to find it!

You might also consider tossing the flame trap screen. That's been recommended on the BB. I tossed them on both my cars. IMO - They are more trouble than they are worth.
