Wahoo! Leaving the sandbox.

Finally, after six years supporting my darling wife getting her Bachelors and now her Masters, I am coming home for good. 5 of the last 6 years I have worked contract jobs on the road and 4 of those were in Iraq. Feb 10 is my last day in the sandbox and I should be back at a "proper" job on Feb 21.

I said all that to ask this, any brickboard members in the Chicagoland area that know of any hidden RWD gem. The DW has authorized me to get another brick as long she does not have to drive it. #1 choice would be a post '88 non-turbo, non-16V, wagon but I am not that picky as long as it is either rust free and driveable right now or trusty and rusty but priced accordingly.

I have been cruising Craigslist but the pickings are slim. Not ready to go over to the dark side with FWD Volvo yet so my fallback positiong is a Ford Ranger. I have a 1930 Cape Cod to finish remodelling so there is no shame in getting a small PU for two year fling.

Thanks for the help!

Onkel Udo
