engine shake 200 1989

So, i was looking under the hood and noticed the engine shaking at idle. Also sounds like a bit of clatter from the valves. The car runs fine otherwise, but could probably use a good throttle body cleaning/idle valve.
Would this simply come from that? Or, is it something more to do with engine/transmission mount. How would i check for that?.. Visually inspect?... shake back and forth?
