Freshening up a 240 before a road trip. 200 1987

My brother bought an 87 240 for $1000 last year in missouri and drove it back and forth from Iowa until the brakes went out... I fixed them and drove it around while I was fixing my truck, I changed the oil and the left mm cause it shakes, bad, and the water pump, because the orig. blew up on me. I was done using it by the middle of August, so it got dd'd for about 2 mo. around which time it started running worse (maybe on 3 cyl). Now my truck is broken again, and 600 Mi. away in N. MN, so I'm going to Iowa in feb to get it...

What all should I do before driving a 24 year old car 600 miles to an area where its routinely -20 for more than a week?

I am going to order all the needed parts from IPD before I even go to get it, and replace them over the weekend, and drive back. So far on my list I have:
-Spark Plug Wires (Bougicord)
-Flame Trap Relocation Kit
-Distributor Rotor
-Distributor Cap
-Copper Core Spark Plug
-Air Filter
-Right Motor Mount

and I also intent on buying new plastic tubing for the intake on ebay as the original has holes, and cleaning the maf...
