tail / brak lights fixed 200 1986

my right/ rear tail lights went away about the same time my turn signals, and dash lights went away.
We had resolved the dash and signals but not the tail / brake lights.
Turned out the connector to the tail light assy was corroded. I ran a fine piece of emery cloth between the connectors and voila there were lights.
Only problem is for some unknown reason the connector won't sit right on the board connector.
The securing clip won't go completely over the connector so the connection is a little iffy. What have I missed> I removed the T/L assy to see what I could see but didn't disturb much except for a light cleaning of the connector strip.
Any bright ideas here.
Oh and does anyone else have a problem replacing bulb holders in the t/l ?
thanks as always
Paul
