Of the three of those parts, I would guess the power stage was the one affected by wet conditions. Not that the part was bad, but that its connection had just enough oxide on it to prevent good contact when damp. In that case, it seems like changing the part fixed it, when really, just taking the plug off and putting it back on fixed it.

When things mysteriously cure themselves, it hedges a pro's bet to replace several things at once. A win-win for the shop, if successful. If the CPS was original, it was good to get a new one anyway.
