Distributor Replacement Question. 700 1990

For a 1990 B230 the only reason to remove the distributor is to replace the shaft seal and distributor base o-ring. If the shaft seal hasn't been replaced on one of these 20 year old cars, it will be leaking.

Not that bad to get to. Remove the cap first by loosening the three 8mm head captive bolts. Then remove the two 10mm head bolts that hold the distributor to the head. Push the distributor back, and it will come right out. I find that Gear Wrench brand ratcheting box end wrenches make this job fairly easy. See the 700/900 FAQ.
