AMM issue/questions 200

Just dropped plenty of $$$ getting car up to snuff and all of a sudden last night, CE light came on with code 1-2-1 (AMM malfunction/signal missing). Car was all over the place - Idle was way high, way low and very erratic. Car would start but as soon as I hit the gas, it would stall immediately. I had the car pushed on the ice (we live in Rhode Island) to a safe place where I removed the AMM, cleaned it with the MAF cleaner and reinstalled it. Removed fuse #6 to clear codes.

Car started right up and drove perfectly... Anyone else ever have this issue? I am picking up a used AMM for $60 since rebuilt units BEGIN at $200.

Any thoughts???

Thanks!
