Interesting! Would it do it if anything on the ignition was in good working order? I usually don't play around with the coil wire that much (I usually find it shocking).

The cap and rotor is in good shape. The spark plug wires look awful, but can check the resistence on them. Spark plugs I have no idea, but maybe need to change them out.
