Riddle me this! Coil Question 120-130

Any booster gap still increases voltage up to the point where an easier path to ground is found - like your body, or a flash-over on a spark plug insulator. The stock wires will be copper wire core with a resistor pellet in the connector at the plug, normally 1-2k ohms. North American ignition wires from that time would be carbon core with about 10-15k ohm per foot of resistance.
