I've had only one BMW, a 1972 "Roundie" which I bought in 1977 after my first car, which was a 1966 122S two door. The 2002 was a great machine, and in 1978 I rebuilt the engine to Ti specs and used some Alpina Solex sidedrafts on it. Fast and smooth. However it did break a lot, and when the head cracked I sold it. Not that I ever beat on the engine....
