Oil pump cleaning 200 1988

I'm going to be replacing my high mileage engine (451K) soon with a low mileage one (150K). Would it be wise to replace the oil pump on the replacement engine or can I clean the pickup screen and make sure all is well with it before installation? Also, what else internally to the engine should I do in preparation for the transplant? I'm here to listen to everyone's wisdom on this subject.
