1993 940 automatic transmission 900 1993

There is a cable which runs close to the pipe from the water pump that while I had a leak must have had hot coolant spraying on it. This resulted in the insulation on the cable being overheated and splitting. I fixed the leaking heater hose and now the car will not shift out of second gear. Does anyone have a part number for the cable mentioned. There is a connector almost directly above where the heater hoses go through the firewall where this cable connects. Also the vacuum line to the heater control valve snapped while I was replacing one of the heater hoses. Is there a quick fix for this? Maybe just a small piece of vacuum line to couple the broken ends together.
